Periodically, IAPP-UK will bestow the "Outstanding AP Member Award" upon an individual. This IAPP-UK Member must have recently accomplished a significant professional achievement and contributed appreciably to IAPP-UK by sharing knowledge and expertise with their peers. IAPP-UK considers the following when making this determination:

- IAPP Local Chapter support
- IAPP Committee/Council participation
- IAPP Newsletter article submission
- Professional achievement
- Professional recognition
