With claims that this version has better searching and comparisson services, The Cabinet Office says the aim is to make the service better for suppliers who will be paid more quickly and more easily.

The solution has been built on the Government eMarketplace, to maximise the use of existing technology, but the intention is to consider using open source in future developments.
