IAPP (UK) - How Can I Prepare?

The CAPP exam is designed to emphasise the important tasks and duties in accounts payable. A thorough knowledge of the curriculum materials and basic academic study skills are required.

The CAPP Certification Study Manual is the primary study resource for the exam.

The current US content-based CAPP exam also includes knowledge testing of project management and Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. The study materials for these areas are complimentary and may be downloaded by clicking on the links below. While there is not currently an equivalent Act to Sarbanes-Oxley in force in the UK – much of the study material will be extremely relevant in terms of best practice and the stricter Compliance ethic in force in many of today’s AP departments. The new UK focused study manual will be available from October 2010.

Preparing for the CAPP exam is a self-study process. Therefore, the duration of study time required will depend on the individual. IAPP recommends at least three months of study time before sitting for one of these exams.
